I was happily convinced that yesterday was only Tuesday until about 9 o'clock, when my daughter said something that made me realise with a sinking heart that it was Wednesday night and I hadn't even started my PaperPlay DT entry. So I galloped off to the computer to check out my image from this week's sponsor, Wink Wink Ink, and to my utter utter joy, discovered that I had been sent both a b/w and ready-coloured version of my image. Guess which one I used?!!! Here's my card:
Our challenge this week is called "Sketch and Stash". Sandie produced a lovely sketch to use, and the added option is to use new stash. I couldn't do the added bit, as I haven't gotten any new stash in ages, sniff sniff (although things are looking up, I'm in the process of deciding what to order for my Christmas cards, hint - BG!!!)
I'm also entering this card in the following challenges: Totally Gorjuss ("Star"), Stampin for the Weekend ("Anything Goes" - bless their poor DT!), and Papertake Weekly ("3-2-1" - 3 buttons, 2 papers, 1 image).
For once I didn't ink any edges (no time), although I had to stitch, it would have looked naked otherwise!!Here's a close-up of the cute image I used - super colouring, eh? ;-)!!!!
Recipe:
Image: "Moon Baby" by Wink Wink Ink
Papers: Crate Paper "Lemongrass"
Font: Ballpark from dafont.com
Other: BG buttons, hairy string, needle + thread
Thanks for looking!

P.S. Just marking this week as the week my son learned to swim!! He has taken two intensive swimming class sessions this summer and has made amazing progress. In the first week, at the beginning of the summer, he went from using a board to kick swimming across front and back with hands by his side. This week, he has learned to use his arms too. Hooray!!

Hi Julie, love your card, great use of the image hun lol, I love your details too, hope you've caught up with yourself now and know what day it is , maybe then you can tell me as I keep losing track too, hugs Liz xx
Julie, Hurray for your son. Off to swimming shortly with my two. They go every Thursday afternoon (normally 10 in each group/class) but only 3 in each class for the summer.... like one to one tuition... it's fantastic....!
I always adjust my contrast after taking the photo with my camera software. Sometimes adjust levels will also brighten your shot. I have a Canon 30D and use photoshop too! A little obsessed with photography!
I love your card... fab image... love how it is pre coloured too... extra fab.
Julie, this is soooo sweet! Great image & great details! xx
Well done to your son Julie, it sounds like he's flying along! Your card is adorable! The image is so cute with the tail of the blanket hanging over the edge and I love your mix of pps. Beautiful stitching and embellishing too!
Gorgeous!! you did a great job with so little time. Do you use Picasa?? You can edit your pics in there to get rid of the blue tinge, add your watermark, etc... and it's free. It's a google program too.. so safe!!
Beautiful card, wonderful image and great news about swimming hurrahs for the arms.

Julie, your card is adorable. I was tempted not to colour my image too and use the one already done. A good time saver. I know the feeling of rushing a card...that was me last week...I dont like to do it...you know how creativity needs to flow not be pushed? Your card is beautiful.

Hey, great news about your boy swimming - mine just started to doggy paddle couple of weeks ago, lol
The card is lovely, isn't that handy to have a pre-coloured image to use, never seems to happen to me!
