It's all gone ....

.... the snow, that is.  It thawed astonishingly quickly.  We went from having to dig the car out of the snow on Christmas morning and only just about make it a mile or so to church and to family for dinner, to being able to drive my brother the 20 miles to his home on Boxing Day on clear roads.

And I actually made a card.  It's an extremely belated birthday card for my husband's nephew, who was 19 some time back, and with one thing and another, I only just got to make his card.  I'm sure he won't mind, since I put some extra guilt money inside!!  Here's what I made:

I used the sketch from this week's Friday Sketchers, and am also entering this into Creative Card Crew ("birthdays") and Simon Says Stamp ("Anything Goes").

I used the same Mo Manning digi stamp that I used for another 19 year old's card back in September.  Mo's images are just so clever, and great to colour.  After I had finished the card, I realised I ought to have put something else on, maybe a few metal things, brads or suchlike, but it was too late - all was stuck down.  Oh well!!  Here's a close-up of the image:

It's STILL ....

snowing - oh yes, I can't believe it, it's been the most Christmassy December ever.  The earlier stuff lasted for about a week and a half, then there was a little dusting last weekend and on Monday this week, a massive snowstorm which dropped about 8 inches in a couple of hours, and to my utter delight, school holidays had to start 3 days early.  Couldn't ask for a better present!!!

I've not been doing much crafting this month, even though we've been at home so much, so I've only one project to show.  My son and I made "Christmas Cherries" from the Pioneer Woman's recipe HERE as presents for teacher, neighbours, etc.  They are very very nice - really citrussy and light.  Here's how I packaged them:

And my son wants to show you his snowman, that he made yesterday all by himself.  Here's the sculptor with his finished masterpiece:

It's still ....

.... snowing, we've got another snow day off school tomorrow, and my cup of joy is overfloweth-ing!!!!

I went for an all-pink card, for a teacher in school who has just had a baby girl.  Here's what I made:

I'm used the sketch from this fortnight's Truly Scrumptious and also the "think pink" optional extra.  I'm also entering this into Lili of the Valley Thursday Challenge ("a few of my favourite things" - stitching, distress inks, stickles!) and A Spoon Full of Sugar (Recipe - 3 papers, 3 flowers, 3 buttons).

It's the first card I've made with some recently acquired Lily of the Valley images.  I love this little cutie - perfect for Baby cards for either boy or girl.  Here's a close-up of the image:

Oh yeah, oh yeah ....

.... we've got a snow day tomorrow, oh yeah, oh yeah!! 

Can you tell I'm happy?  Must take some more photos tomorrow (uploaded some on my last post), but we had even more tons of snow last night and today.  It's beautiful snow too, all crunchy and fluffy.  The roads are hell, but we walked to school today so we were fine.  Kids were being collected early from school all day and by finishing time, there were hardly any left, so hurray, we get to stay home tomorrow!!

It's WOYWW again, and my desk is a riot of pink - I think the card I'm working on is the pinkest I've ever made.  Here's all the bits (excuse terrible lighting and shaky hand too!) :

And up at the corner of my desk are the piles of finished Christmas cards (cough, cough) still waiting to be written!!
