More Big ....

.... Owls! (Oh, and blog candy alert!)

Did I mention I just love this stamp?!!

And I think maybe somewhere I might have said I love Basic Grey, too!!!

So why not combine them both?!!

I paper pieced the feathery bit of the owl on Bittersweet paper, and shaded the bottom of the feathers with prismas. More colouring, paper-piecing, distressing, spots, flowers, buttons, punching, stickles for one set of eyes, gems for the other. Done!!!

Thanks for looking!!

P.S. Clare Curd has some great blog candy over on her blog. Don't say I didn't tell you!!!

Baby Card and Big Sister ....

.... Sweetener!!

This started as an entry for the Daring Cardmakers Challenge the week before last, but I didn't finish it in time. The brief was to use lots of green, and I like the combination of soft green and soft peachy-pink.

It's for my cousin, who had a baby girl recently. She has called her Evie and I just love the name.

Evie has a big sister, Georgie, and I thought I'd better make something for her, too (to help stave off potential jealousy!). I was at my friend, Liz's, house for a crop on Saturday (thanks, Liz). I had a super-productive day for me - made 1 card, 1 box for putting cupcakes in, and this notebook for Georgie:

It is actually made with identical papers to Evie's card, but the light was obviously not as good when I took the pic!!

Shaken ....

.... not stirred!

DS turned 7 recently. He is a big Bond fan - so really I had to do this card for this birthday of all birthdays!!! I drew and cut out the template and traced around it onto folded black Bazzill, cut it out and added a bit of black pp, doodling and stickling. He was impressed (phew!!!)

Big Owl ....

.... my newest stamp!

I ordered it before Christmas, but it was out of stock. It finally arrived in January, and I love it so much. I made this card to send to Lynda along with her blog candy prize, and it was such fun to make. I coloured it with prismas, added jewels for the eyes, and that was it!!!! Oh yes, I stuck it down on some hot pink card too!

P.S. Lynda, thanks for emailing me the picture of it. I will not forget again!
